Rules

What can be listed

Only shipped artifacts: github.com/owner/repo, npm / PyPI / crates pages, Hugging Face models or spaces, MCP repos or landings tied to a repo, Chrome Web Store, VS Code Marketplace, and Cursor extension pages.

Rejected: generic marketing sites, Telegram / Discord / WhatsApp invites, NSFW, and bare X handles as the listing. X is an optional field on a real artifact.

Rank

  • Rank = whole USD dollars paid. New listings start at $5. Increment $1. Cap $999999.
  • A payment adds the charged amount to day_bid, week_bid, and lifetime_bid.
  • Taking #1 on a board requires +$5 versus the current #1.
  • Equal bids: older successful payment wins.
  • Owner raise: same artifact URL, new total ≥ current + $1. Checkout charges the difference only.
  • Strangers cannot raise someone else’s listing. They can chip into an open owner pool.
  • Monday 00:00 UTC: week_bid = floor(week_bid * 0.5).

Today is a third board scored by day_bid. It ranks independently of the week score, so a new $5 ship can take the day without matching a high week total. Ties still go to the older successful payment. Taking #1 today costs the current daily #1 + $5. Every day at 00:00 UTC, day_bid resets to 0.

Identity

No accounts. Identity is artifact URL + payment email. The first successful payer is the owner of that listing.

Pools

  • Owner opt-in only. Target = gap to take #1, frozen when the pool opens. 48 hours.
  • Eligible if: verified GitHub, listing age ≥ 24h, owner_paid ≥ 30% of week_bid, and not already #1.
  • Backer chip-in $5–$25. Owner has no $25 cap. Funds sit in escrow until fill.
  • On fill, the frozen target is added atomically to day, week, and lifetime scores.
  • Timeout or cancel: refund. Successful filled charges are not refunded.

Clicks and badges

Outbound clicks go through /go/[id] and are counted. Any listing can embed /badge/[id].svg (?board=week, today, or all-time). If a successful checkout drops you on the week or today board, the previous owner gets one email with a raise link — no login.
